    Learning to carry?

Does Arkansas have laws against concealed weapons showing? Is open carry legal? If it doesn't need to be concealed ALL the time then an Unkle mikes size 5 OWB holster is what I'd go with (and I do) Only thing I dont like about it is having to take off my belt to remove the holster (I frequent...

"No Guns" in lease. What to do?

Technically in MD your gun must be cased in the trunk with all magazines unloaded AND you technically cannot stop anywhere while the guns are in there (ie. no stopping for gas on the way to the range). The CCW is virtually impossible to get unless you own a small business and frequently...

    New Taurus model 66

The box reads Shooters Arm's. The pistol simply has SAM as the prefix to the serial #.

    New Taurus model 66

I didn't make the trade. Thanks everyone for talking some sense in to me; it surely wasn't a good deal for me. I still want a .357 revolver though. When the SHTF I hope I have my 870 or an Ar-10 or an AK handy. Aside from that though, mind if I ask why you'd say that? The .45 won't swallow...

    New Taurus model 66

The 66 is new and it is stainless. This particular pistol is not reliable enough to carry. It's much better since I got the Pro-Mags but my Glock 19 is much more reliable for me and I'm much more accurate with it. The Glock is my carry gun. I've wanted a .357 with a 3-6 inch bbl for quite a...

    New Taurus model 66

Found one at the gun show today. Guy said I could give him $140 and my Shooters arms 1911 .45 that I paid 350 for new 6 months ago. I might be able to get him down another $20 if I can find the original grips for the 1911 and mention to him that I have 2 extra 8 round Pro-Mags. Hell probobly...

    New Orleans prepares for Gustov!

I can think of at least three stores that stock at least 10 AR's at a time, on the shelves, and who knows how many in their rear stock rooms. Good for the people buying! Hopefully Gustav won't make landfall in the states. Thread lock IS likely though if this gets too political.

    Moving with firearms?

Should be fine. That's how I've gone from MD to FL and MD to AZ; then again I've never had a firearms related legal issue. I'm not a lawyer either.

    H&R Model 949 Questions

I just acquired a used H&R model 949 (.22 lr) and was wondering if anyone dould describe the manual of arms (how to safely handle) this weapon. It loads like a SAA but the trigger is DA as well.

Primary home defense weapon (non CCW)

870 bedside. It's cruiser ready with whatever type of 00 buckshot I have handy but I like the 12 pellet stuff. Thats got a bandoleer with ~ 25 rounds of buckshot ans the gun has a sidesaddle with 2 slugs and 2 more rounds buckshot. My carry piece (GLOCK 19) sits bedside as well but i switch...

    Mp-40

I prefer a shotgun for a truck gun but if you're set on 9mm why not get a GLOCK 17 or 19 and a couple 33 round mags? Then if you're still set on a carbine you can get a carbine conversion kit for it off gunbroker. They even kind of look like an MP-40.

    What's the Most reliable .22lr?

I don't know what the most reliable is but I know that it is NOT my Remington 597. It'd be a miracle if it shot a whole ten round mag with no malfunctions. I too am interested in knowing what semi .22's people have found reliable.

    A random thought on EnBlocs...

Bushmaster already did and made a CA legal AR, not that it really took much R&D to not cut a hole in the receiver for the mag well though.
