    32 acp for self defense?

All I have to say on it is this a .32 did help start one world war, and ended another, in Europe anyway. The last one was self inflicted, but showed the round does work in both instances.

Those of you do not like 9mm

I have a Argentine Sistema 1911A1 in and now a S&W 910 and I like the 9mm better, can control it better than .45 for one, two, ammo is cheaper for the 9mm than the .45., three, the 910 doesn't hurt me when I fire it like the Sistema does, due to the hammer spur. The arguements for the .45...

    Anyone Own a S&W 659/5906?

I just bought a S&W 910, which is in the 59/5900 series family and most simular to the 5904/5906 in most respects. For $230 out the door and its accurate and reliable, you can't do much better. Magazines are easy enough to find of for it uses the same magazines as the rest of the 59 series.

    The ultimate semi-auto/revolver combo?

I'd think either a Hi Power and Ruger SP101 in 9mm for 9mm or for .45 users, a 1911 pattern and a 1917/Model 25 revolver. In both instances, the same ammo can be used, no need to purchase separate ammo.

    New(to me anyway) S&W 910

Hi, After searching for 59, 459, or 5906 in the last thread, I discovered another option: A S&W 910. It seems that this is a economy version of the above models, sharing many components and of course a lower price, $230 out the door. Fired it, and it is very accurate and no jams. I'm...

    Deciding between S&W 59, 459 or 5906

I saw other possibilities as well, the S&W 910 and 915. I'm told these are in the same family as the 59/459/5906 but more of the economy versions, are these good as well or stick with the previous versions? Thanks

    Trying to choose a 9mm

Ruger P85s and P89s seem to fit the bill along with what others suggested. Both are 9mm, both are double stack and high capacity, both aren't expensive, both are accurate enough, and both have decock capability

Let's Talk About The 9mm For SD

Having owned guns in 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP, I have better control and hit with more precision with the 9mm out of the three.

    Deciding between S&W 59, 459 or 5906

Seems the general consensus is that I should get the 5906. With that said, I've seen prices for the aforementioned 5906 anywhere from the $280-$500 range, same with the previous Models 59 and 459. What is a good price for a 5906. Another mention I found is the 5904, I think this the blued...

    Deciding between S&W 59, 459 or 5906

Hi, As the title says, trying to decide which of the aforementioned I want to buy. I handled all three but can't decide which. I know all three have many in common since all are descendants of the first, the Model 59 and the magazines will interchange between the three. Price is about...

The Sheer Joy of MOUSE GUNS....

Does a PA-63/CZ-82/PM Makarov count as a mouse gun? Not exactly palm sized for the average person, but some palms are bigger than others.

I am soo mad (California sucks)

As bad as CA is with gun laws, it could be worse. Namely, Washington, D.C. If one won't be forced out of CA then that is commendable, but for those who live in D.C. and want a firearm at all, for them there is no other option at the present time (Supreme Court decision notwithstanding) but to...

    1911 (poll)

Would a Sistema be considered a Colt, since it was made under their license? Wasn't sure what to put there.
