I primarily shoot 124gr bullets these days, but for 115gr bullets I had settled on 5.7gr of Power Pistol. It was an almost perfect match for factory 115gr ammo, velocity-wise.

Also note that your unsized brass is likely shorter than a properly sized piece of brass.

I like 4.0-4.2 grains of TrailBoss with a 158 gr. LSWC. As to your original question, the only load that is too light for the .357 is one that doesn't make it out the barrel! Everything else is just a matter of what you're comfortable with, or what your goal is.
