    Help picking a full size 357 mag revolver

    Model 28, saw a nice one the other day for $500. The only reason I didn't buy it was the 6" barrel. I already have a 6" model 28, had it been a 4" it would have been mine.

    Dental Picks

    I bought some cheap ones from Harbor Freight. They are softer then the real thing. I find them better for gun cleaning and light work as they are softer then the gun metal. The real dental picks can be really hard and will scratch your guns.

    A good comparison between SASS shooters, USPSA, ICORE etc shooters head to head is Steel Challenge. No power factors, 5 rounds per string. Simply draw and shoot 5 targets. Steel challenge has a strong cowboy shooting contingent.

    S&W views on their MIM parts

    We have about a dozen local guys and gals running S&W revolvers in IPSC and ICORE matches. Most of these people shoot 15,000 rounds or more per year. I've not seen or heard of any MIM failure. I agree that the Forged and case hardened parts look better. But, the MIM parts work fine.
