I did 4 years as a gunners mate doing maintenance on 1911's, but until the last couple days, I had no idea how many different models there were out there. All this time I thought a colt 1911 was a colt 1911, but that wasnt the case at all lol

One of the gunsmiths said just about the same thing, and also speculated it may not be a colt lower. Since theres no colt markings I know of on the lower except the triangle on the trigger guard, I couldnt say either way . Heres the link where Im getting the 1912 from...
