With age, the old eyes are having more and more trouble picking out the front sight against most backgrounds. Fiber optic sights make a world of difference for me.
I have to use a cane all the time, so I went to Cane Masters http://www.canemasters.com/ and ordered up a custom combat cane. I practice a limited repertoire of blocks parrys, thrusts and strikes daily. As stated by others; the cane can accompany you anywhere. Thrust to flesh, strike to bone.;)

S&W M&P 15 sport. It's the 1:8 twist, stripped down model with no forward assist nor dust cover, but since I don't plan on going to any of the "stans" I can live without a dust...
