Concealed Carry Holster for .38 Snub

Haxby, how do you like the thumb break? Does it get in your way when drawing your weapon?

Concealed Carry Holster for .38 Snub

This is also what I've found from other sources as well. I'm probably over-analyzing the situation and being paranoid about the one failing that I could see happening. Has anyone ever had any problems with an open top holster (specifically with revolvers)?

Concealed Carry Holster for .38 Snub

First, thank you for the info thus far. The High Noon FAQs do have some great views on this question. Second, I agree, each tool has it's place. Save for during the activities and those like them that HN points out, does anyone have any other positives/negatives about a thumb break? I should...

Concealed Carry Holster for .38 Snub

I have a RIA M206 snub (Detective Special clone) that I'm looking for a holster for. I'm not particular about leather vs nylon vs any other material. I'm open to either IWB or OWB. The biggest requirement that I have is that the holster must have a thumb break (it has the hammer spur and I just...

    What's Wrong with Magazine Disconnects?

I was wondering this, too. With the amount of training scenarios, dry firing, mag change and un/holster practice, etc. For those who think the possibility of an accidental mag release, how would this be likely given the amount of muscle memory you have likely built up?

    What's Wrong with Magazine Disconnects?

This is kind of my thinking as well. Not only in the field but with normal carry, don't most people bring at least one if not two extra mags? If your mag was to be ejected, either through a mistake in the heat of the moment or through a tussle with a BG, wouldn't it be as simple as to stick a...

    What's Wrong with Magazine Disconnects?

I'm looking at getting my first FS semi-auto, and I'm curious as to why I keep seeing in reviews for different guns: "I love that it doesn't have a magazine disconnect" or "I like it except for the disconnect," etc. So, my question is: why is this such a bad thing? From what I understand about...

Ruger 9e or Smith SDVE 9?

Haha. My bad. I guess I probably should've checked that! Thanks!

Ruger 9e or Smith SDVE 9?

Miles1, I know it's been a while since you've posted in this thread, but I'm curious if, after this long, are you still happy with the Ruger 9E? Have you had any problems or regrets?

.38 Spl Ammo Questions: Standard vs +P

Haha. I bet it would!!! Just goes to show how little I know about ammo loads. I didn't even notice that seemed odd after looking at the link. All of the values were divided by 100 (so 17,000 psi would be 170 on the sheey, etc.).

.38 Spl Ammo Questions: Standard vs +P

For those who are curious, I spoke to a customer service rep from FM today. Apparently, they do not produce any +P ammo at this time. Not all that jazzed about the interaction (she seemed like she didn't care about answering my questions AT ALL and I'm kind of annoyed that after 3 days, I still...

Casings getting stuck in the cylinder

I'm planning on it! I've got 150 rounds left. I actually prefer the 158gr rounds I've shot. I'm thinking about getting some 158gr SWCs from Freedom Munitions. Hopefully, I'll be a bit more accurate with those. I know a snub isn't the most accurate weapon (especially for a new shooter), but...

Casings getting stuck in the cylinder

Wow! I honestly had no clue. I thought it did seem kind of loose when I used the bore brush in the chambers. I assumed I had simply gone all the way through the chambers and had started to squish the bristles together. Thanks for that info! I bought a multiple caliber cleaning kit. Would a .45...

.38 Spl Ammo Questions: Standard vs +P

I have been using Winchester and Remington ammo. While it's not a top of the line pistol, I still want to keep it in good condition as it's the only one I have at this point. Budget is definitely a concern, but, at the same time, I'd rather pay more for ammo and have a gun than be a cheapskate...

.38 Spl Ammo Questions: Standard vs +P

Driftwood, thanks for the link. That's really informative! Are these the values for people who reload, manufacturers of name brand ammo, or both? Tk, the rounds I stated I liked are 158gr LRN and the ones I'm thinking of getting are 158gr SWC. The SWC do appear to be jacketed. How does that...
