Class Review: Utah CCW class with THR’s own Larry Correia

bogie, I think he did briefly mention repelling the invading goblin hordes once in class. Unfortunately, the only time he really talked about monsters at length was when I asked about his novel Monster Hunter International after the class was over. DAT

Class Review: Utah CCW class with THR’s own Larry Correia

I had the opportunity to take the Utah concealed firearm permit class from THR moderator Larry Correia on November 12-13, 2007. The class was given at the Lehi, Utah Cabela’s on Monday and Tuesday evening and was approximately 5 hours long. After taking some time to reflect on the class I...

Please Help, my 870 is locking up when firing.

I bought an 870 express brand new in 1998 and had this problem. At the time there were several reoprts of this happening on thefiringline and shotgunsports websites. Two factors seemed to be causing the jamming for me. The first was ammunition. I had jams mostly with Winchester ammo...

    Marlin 512 Slugmaster

I had a Slugmaster for about two years. I am sorry that I sold it. It was a good reliable gun. Good: Reliability was 100%. I never had a problem with it. It was easy to clean and care for. I got my best results with 2 3/4" brenekke rotweiler (spelling?) slugs. Bad: Factory magazines...

    GP100, 4" or 6"?

I have both 4" and 6" full shroud GP100s. 357s out of the 4" have more noise, concussion, and flash than they do out of the 6". It is not as harsh as the SP101 but definetly not as gentle as the 6". The 4" is still very mild with 38spl. For target shooting I prefer the 6" since it has a...

    Break-in for new P95

I have a P95 and love it. If it is a new gun, take it apart and clean it before you shoot it. Ruger ships those things out with lots of greasy lubricant. Then load, shoot, and repeat. Enjoy, DAT

Need info on a Mettler A30 laboratory balance

Mettler's catalog doesn't list the A30, so I don't think it is in current production. Google shows that the University of Arkansas is getting rid of one that they originally paid $1888 for. This price would be on the low end (depanding on the balance capabilities) for a new balance today...
