Mass production in days of yore.

In the late sixty's i worked in a optical shop that made precision glass lenses. We had a surface grinding machine for rough forming of the lens I operated the machine. All I know is it was called a Blanchard. Was a big heavy cast iron unit made by the Blanchard co. Wondering if it was the same...

Brass submerged under water for a while...?

Load it, if it works it works, if it doesn't, it doesn't.

Well, THAT ended the session right quick

Very simple to do. Once out, use a tubing cutter to split the case off the pin. Hornady Unique case lube.

"MSRP? We don't need no stinkin' MSRP!"

Back in the day, might have been in the 80's, or 70's if you wanted a new Harley there was a waiting list and if there was any left you paid north of $ 2 to $3,000 or more than list.

When you travel through big cities how does your EDC change

Better to have it and not need it than needing it and not having it. In this day and age there's crazies no matter where you go. My point is, carrying concealed in hot spots doesn't put a target on your back. In soft spots nobody cares.

    Thinking about a 22lr handgun

When i left L.I. N.Y. in 2000 for SC the first handgun i bought was a S&W 22A. Still have it. Real nice gun and is very accurate.

When you travel through big cities how does your EDC change

I am a geezer so i don't go to far from home. My state allows open carry so, especially in the summer I will open carry (LCP) on my belt in places I know are safe. If I go to a Iffy place than i pocket carry so I am not the target.

Replacing a 100yr old firing pin spring

I agree. A inert object like a spring in a relaxed state is just a piece of metal. If kept in a neutral environment it should be the same 1000 yrs later

Do you know what chaps my hide?
