My new replacement Blackhawk S/S/ came in from Ruger yesterday. Finish was nicer than the old one that i had destroyed. Sent back my old grips to as I requested.

I use same bullet and do not crimp at all. I find the very long bearing surface holds the bullet well. As far as inserting the bullet i don't rush it. Just make sure the slug is lined up square with the mouth and seat the bullet very slowly to avoid cocking.

I like Uberti a lot. The rest is a poor excuse for any form of quality. Cimarron, Pietta and the rest is junk. Looks like the toy six guns of the fifties.
Uberti calls it a nut and bolt. Physically remove parts 3 4 5 and assure yourself they are there and make sure they fit in the base pin groove when the pin is all the way in.
When i build shelves that i may use for different purposes i use adjustable shelf tracks. Each slot is about 1/2 in spaced or use the perch type with the pins for Infinet spacing.
