"While it could be argued if a SA trigger pull is nicer than a DA trigger pull, constant evolution in training technique has proven that hitting with the first DA trigger is not less accurate and certainly not slower than the SA. Unless you LE career is much older than mind, I have a hard time...

"happen to like the DAK trigger system and have seen some very accurate shooting during classes, the concern that is raised is: why would you manually cock a DA/SA Sig? this is especially confusing in light of your having attended a quite few formal firearm classes...i'm unaware of any well...

"One can shoot to stop" Stop? Are you a traffic sign or red light? Stop what????? Look....you can shoot a bad guy and he can fall to the ground in the fetal position facing away from you and you don't know what the heck he is doing. Did you "stop" him? Define "stop". Even if he ceased...

"How about, keep your distance, keep an eye on the threat while calling the cops or asking someone else to. Unless you're an LEO, once the threat has stopped, your defensive firing MUST stop, unless you want to risk spending MANY years behind bars." How about eliminating the danger in the...

"Something else you'll see here is that most don't take kindly to internet bravado and proud claims of wanting to kill someone. That kind of talk is something the Mods take very seriously. Just something to keep in mind." No bravado in anything I said. Just facts. And SHOW ME where I said I...

There is an article on "center mass" in Guns America

My my my...sounds like a lot of amateur Ayoobs in this thread. I am NOT going to be "politically correct" on a gun forum. I am using a weapon that is, by it's very design, intended to KILL. I am NOT going to mince words on a gun forum. And I doubt very much if I did have to shoot and KILL a bad...

There is an article on "center mass" in Guns America

I've seen instances of .50 caliber hits and the guy lived. All depends on where they are hit and how much will to live they have. Ever see the movie or read the book "Blackhawk Down"? A driver of a HumVee was hit with an RPG grenade. The round didn't explode, but was embedded in his body and he...

    Beware of factory ammunition

I choose to trust factory ammo. If they screw up, I have the option to get some kind of monetary satisfaction for whatever damage is done. If I screwed up reloading, I would have to eat whatever losses I had.

    Beware of factory ammunition

Interesting thread and appropriate topic. Let's not have the Kool-Aid drinkers shut it down. I DO want to find out more details about what happened. Was it ammo, obstruction in the barrel, or a malfunctioning gun?

    Beware of factory ammunition

"Where in the OP does it mention Glock or lead bullets? It only says a .45 pistol." Ummmm...in THE LINK provided by the original poster it describes and gives a picture of the blown Glock 21. Or did you just ignore that little tidbit? From the KaBOom FAQ: Why do kB!s occur...

    Beware of factory ammunition

Fastbolt: Excellent points. I hope we DO get more details about this event. I don't believe the OP posted this because he is a "Glock hater". I actually appreciate any inforamtion on ANY gun that has a major malfunction. Just sticking your head in the sand and repeating over and over "my...
