my mom believes she saw a mountain lion or cougar run across a field beside our house. i don't hunt at all but i believe i could do fairly well with info from all of my neighbors and friends, but im not sure what kind of gun i should use. all i have is an 870 12 gge with a modified choke, a...
ive got a s&w .45 colt im lookin to refinish. its blued and has a little bit of rust on it and im wantin to put a bad@$$ finish on it, not blued. any help will be appreciated
a really good way to destroy rust i found is take some oil and steel wool and gently rub it away. one of my dad's old .410's was covered in rust when i found it, and the finish was well long gone, so idk how it will affect ur finishes. you should definately look into putting a rustproof finish...
they are talking about bullets that hav a steel core instead of lead or watever else. that is why they call it armor piercing because the steel pierces the armor whereas the lead would just smash up against it denting it.
I was just wondering how much you could make working for an ammo company to load ammo. Maybe bulletsmithing or something. How could i get a job like that. and Who would best hire me
thanks wolfpack, that is exactly the gun i was thinking of getting. do you know if i could get a bigger magazine? it doesnt really matter because 5 rounds would be enough but i don't like reloading them after every few shots. doesnt really matter though, but THANKS
i am thinkin of breakin down and buying a savage bolt action. im looking for around 300 bucks or less. havent done any research on them, but im thinkin i'll like em. if you guys hav any suggestions of what is the best for around 200-300 dollars, holler at me. im looking for one to hunt...
"If rubber bullets are sometimes fatal (Northern Ireland, Israel, etc.) why wouldn't rubber pellets be?"
they can be lethal, but have a less chance then lead or steel. all kinds of loads are out there, just take ur pick of what you feel is best for you.
dmazur, im not quite sure if my source was correct but i can't remember where i heard this from. it was something about why .45 cal was chosen as the military's round for the 1911. they were using i think like .32 or .38 and couldnt properly kill cavalry. i can't remember if it was the original...
yea yea i know all that, but im not gonna deer hunt so no use in teaching me how, thanks for the info however. if i do choose to deer hunt, i'll get myself a slug barrel and some good slugs i like, mount a scope, and go. or i could take the easiest and cheapest way and use my dad's S&W .45. he...
