nalioth's right. I was reading "trigger reset" but thinking "hammer reset."

If all of the above check out, replacing the disconnector spring may help.

I've had a Kobra on my SAR-1 for a few years, and have really enjoyed having the scope. In the first pic below you can see some of the controls and in the second pic, you can see the reticles from which to choose.

wally, As the owner of a Burris FastFire sight, what is your opinion of battery replacement and windage and elevation adjustments on the Larue setup? Also, on the Burris are the windage and elevation adjustments done by "clicks" or friction? Thanks.

Both are really good looking rifles and with that side rail on the SAR-1, you'll have a wide choice of optic choices if you decide to go that route.

Several years ago, I contacted Yuri at www.freedomoptics.com and inquired about optics for the SKS. His reply was that the SKS was not designed to accept optics. He would sell me whatever I wanted but he just wanted me to know there was never an optic designated for the SKS.

I have compared bare muzzle, slant brake, bird cage, and the J-TAC. The J-TAC lives up to its billing for noticeably less felt recoil and it's the most accurate of the other devices, including the "bare muzzle." I am currently waiting for a red dot holographic scope to use on the UTG rail. I...
