I keep a log on my guns - rounds fired and when. I log when I've cleaned them or repaired them and note problems I have when at the range.
Just a geeky engineer!
BTW - That gun logbook in Thumper 6119's post looks interesting :)
IF you get to the point where you feel you need to pull it out of the holster you thumb off the safety as it clears the holster. If you're not prepared to shoot when you de-holster, then don't deholster...

I point my trigger finger straight ahead and rest it on the area of the trigger guard/frame. That way my finger is does not impact anything else related to my grip and all I have to do is bend the finger and move it sideways slightly to be back on the trigger.

Absolutely true around here! I participate and have a lot of fun in our local chapter matches - and I haven't even joined the Association yet! :D

I think the Hi Power is as relevant as any other full sized pistol. Still widely used by military and sportsman. It has a large following although I would guess not as large a following as a 1911.
