I was at Cabela's today and they've got these for about 269$. Is this a reasonable price? Is this a reasonable firearm? I thought I read some good stuff about these awhile back, but wasn't sure. Any info would be appreciated. The search function won't let me search on FN.

Anyone here have experience with these on a 1911? I'm considering buying a set for my Kimber Custom II, but I'd like to hear some personal reviews before plunking down that much cash on them. Thanks!

You'll hear tons of bad things about the Kimber Series II. I guess I'm just a lucky bastard because I own one and haven't had any problems with it at all. Definitely look into them, the price is reasonable and their good guns. I got mine for $600 at Cabela's and I've enjoyed it thouroughly.

Anybody have a street price for this piece? I'm curious if they're going for the "fairly-affordable" market or if they're gonna go head-to-head with the "high-end-custom" market.

I'm not sure about the laws where you guys live, but I'm a college student in Nebraska. The laws out here are the same as those for regular schools, get caught carrying at ANY school and it's gonna be some serious trouble. Check your local reg's to make sure that your universities aren't covered...
