great cartridge, poor stock design on rugers increases the felt recoil.
shoot it from a standing rest and they aren't bad, from a bench they are more of a sucker gun.
if you or your range doesn't have a standing rest they are easy to make. its a car rim, two pieces of pipe that can fit snugly...
couldn't say how the lgs's are doing cause I don't buy generic off the shelf guns and they don't like doing transfers. ammo comes ups, guns get shipped to a pawn shop across town, i probably drive past 20 gunshops to get there.
the last time i picked up a rifle from the lgs, a rifle that they...
Fn commercial mausers were available with left hand safeties. Looks like the dayton traiser only
reversed.i think numrich still sells a knock-off.
You'll need a new bolt shroud & possibly a new cocking piece.
let me know what brand of safety you bought & I'll walk you through installing it
I picked up a pre-64 winchester model 70 a few years ago at a pawnshop dirt cheap. Never could warm up to it and sold it for a decent profit. I'll stick to mausers, 1903's, & winchester 54's
Bob has been around for as long as I've had internet access, at least 15 years.
The only problems I've ever had was trying to order stuff that was sold out but the website wasn't updated to show it.

all collectors are good for is regurgitating their tired old...
check a 30-06 round in your mag box and more than likely it will fit in your 1908 brazilian without any mods anf if it dosn't you can usually thin the front & back down with a file.
if your magbox has capture or locking screws -06 should fit, usually the single screw boxes are slightly shorter
since i own around 30 sporters and customs, and have at least 20 project rifles in the works at any given time i'll give my opinion on their value and probably offened a few people at the same.
your arverage run of the mill sporter is worth $200 or less.
sporters built on gew98, argentine...
its called a double set trigger. the front trigger can be used as you would normaly, but if you pull the rear trigger first it sets the front trigger to a pull weight of just a couple ounces.
it sounds complicated but once you've worked with a couple of them they are quite simple
5.6x36R is the german version of the 22 hornet, its sometimes marked 5.6mmx35 or 5.4x35.
can you post a better pic of the marking on the underside of the barrel
the rings are not easy to make and even harder to properly fit to the bases.
the claws must be fitted so that the bottom of the ring fit 100% to the top of the footplate, with zero play sideways and up and down. the rear ring height can now be determined by measuring the distance between the...
