Nah, no need. Great guy and instructor, maybe just a little mistaken on how the Glock works. Thanks for the info guys. DJ

Normal on a 3rd gen Glcok?

Alright, thanks guys. I figured it was normal, but the instructor teaching our firearms class said it wasn't. He wanted us to soak our slides where the striker is in cleaner, and if it didn't work then he'd 'fix' it.

Normal on a 3rd gen Glcok?

Sorry for the silly question, but this caught my attention last night. After dry firing the gun, the firing pin falls and stays potruded until I rack the slide and doesn't retract until the slide is almost closed again. Also, after dry firing and removing the slide, the firing pin will stay...

    Mossy 590 drops shells out

My 500 does this also. It seems to happen the most with Federal bulk packs from Walmart. It seems to help a bit when I fully conccentrate on shucking, but it'll still happen if I'm not concentrating. I've already tried cleaning the crap out of the entire gun. Maybe I'll try different brands...

So I've started trap, but have a problem

Well this is at the manual trap machines, which means I'm throwing my own clays. The nearest old farts to me are about 10yds away.:) Hehehe, no problem. By the time they're done reading it, they'll think that it's a WMD. :p

Any experiences with laser trip wires?

Hehe...not the kind that blows nails in the perps general direction and cuts them at the ankles:evil: The kind you run into at a liquor store, that chimes every time a customer walks in. I'm thinking of placing a few outside and one at the bottom/top of the stairs. Maybe some in the hallways...

SF X200 on CQB and Glock

Is there any chance that you can locate a P99 to try and test fit the X200 to? There's been rumors from Surefire that it will fit, then they say it won't fit on the SW99 and that the P99 has the same rail...which is wrong BTW. I just want to know for sure. The light looks great anyhow...

So I've started trap, but have a problem

I've been going to a range with about a dozen manual trap throwers. My clay breaker of choice is a Mossberg 500 and 28" of clay breaking power. My first pull ever, an RO was helping me get started, showing me how to work the machines. He proceeds to load one up, I yell for the pull, and in...

Walther P99 vs Glock vs HK USP

I have shot a USP compact...very nice gun, just a little out of my price range. I don't care for glocks too much. I ended up with a P99 in 9mm and am very happy with it. My $1.50... Rival-If you're ever up in the Bay Area, drop me a line and you can wring out my P99 and get a feel for it.

    Why a lever action?

SteelyDan-If I ever buy a lever gun, YOU will be the reason why:p I was just checking to see if my wanting a lever gun was kinda odd, but it seems that alot of you feel the same way I do. They seem like fun. I just might have to try one on for myself.
