    I made a trade today..................

Recently, I was standing in line at Academy Sports and struck up a conversation with the fellow next to me. I mentioned that I was looking for small rifle primers, and he mentioned that he was looking for small pistol primers. Academy had neither and had very little factory ammunition...

    Information on 223/5.56 Headstamp

While I was obeying my better half and doing some cleaning and discarding today, I found a container full of brass that I cleaned and deprimed at some point in the past. It is either 223 or 5.56. I suspect it is military 5.56. It is brass and boxer primed. The headstamp is as follows: In the...

    .22 Federal Auto Match

I have an old Ruger Standard, predecessor of the "Mark-X" series. It does quite well with Federal Auto Match.

smallest and lightest 380 or 9mm pocket pistol

My original Ruger LCP (380 ACP) is small and light. Carries easily in a pocket holster. 6-round magazine + 1 in chamber. Haven't had any problems with it.

.223 Test Loads - First Time Out

Yes, you're right. Dyslexia, old age, or not enough coffee:confused:... the last load for 4064 is twiddled.

I took a closer look, and these are lead core/copper bullets.

.223 Test Loads - First Time Out

I'm new to loading bottle neck rounds, but not new to hand loading. I have 62gr FMJBT for .223 Rem and three powders available,IMR 4064, TAC, and Varget. From the Lyman AR Reloading Handbook, the acceptable range for IMR-4064 is 22.0gr to 25gr, and the 25gr load is compressed. I'm thinking...

    New Tumbler

I'm looking to buy an additional vibratory tumbler. Currently I'm using a Midway 1292 that I've had for many years. Recently, I repaired the wiring on the 1292. It's working fine, but I'm thinking I'd like to have a backup machine. Also, as long as the 1292 works, I can use one unit for...

    Berry's 9mm 115 gr flat point data?

Listed below is data I posted on another thread for Berry's 115gr Hollow Base Round Nose Thick Plate. I believe I read on the Berry site that the HBRN-TP may have a little longer bearing surface, but the data below are from 115gr Berry bullets. This might be some help. Winchester brass, CCI...

9mm 115gr Berry Hollow Base Round Nose-Thick Plate

Update: I loaded 200 rounds at 6.14 grains of Power Pistol. I took two rounds at random from each of the four boxes and chronographed them today. Average speed was 1,203 feet per second. From my earlier test data, I predicted that the average for this load should be 1,193. I loaded this...

9mm 115gr Berry Hollow Base Round Nose-Thick Plate

Experimented with subject loads today with decent results. Winchester brass, CCI 500 small pistol primer, Lyman M die, Lee seat/crimp die, and Power Pistol for all loads. Chronograph is PACT Model1XP with screens 8' from muzzle. Shot with Taurus PT99AF. 5.8gr Power Pistol. COAL 1.132"...

9mm Berry 115gr Heavy Plate Hollow Base Round Nose

I'm planning to load some practice ammunition for a close relative. Their qualification ammo is commercially re-manufactured "115gr FMJ". Most 115gr FMJ I've seen runs 1,050 to 1,150 feet/sec., give or take a little. I'm planning to use PowerPistol. I've loaded the "regular" Berry 115gr RN...
