Funny because many of those expensive watches were designed for hard use, like commercial diving and such. But now they are so valuable people don't consider using them for their intended purposes. Like the guy that buys a 70k SUV then wont take it off road becuase its too expensive.
I don't use my nice watches for shooting, but I do use my Apple watch. Funny thing, the Apple watch has a "fall detection" feature. The other day I was shooting and the recoil set that off. It was asking me if I fell and needed help.
it may very well be a staged photo taken of a real subject. Journalists etc often travelled and took pictures of real people, but I am sure there was a certain amount of staging going on. Cameras back then did ot lend themselves to quick, surprise, candid photos.

I wanted to buy a smoothbore slugbarrel for my 1300. i was able to buy a used Mossberg 535 with 2 barrels (a smoothbore slug barrel and a bird barrel) for less $$$$. and... it included a scope
i bought the Akela model for my SP2022 and it is a great holster. That is an OWB model but I think they have IWB models as well.
