funny u should mention this,I was shooting my 204 last night with my 40gr v-max and a hefty load of h4895,I did 4 shot's,grouping was perfect,but they were a lil hard to remove,bolt a lil sticky,and similar temperatures,I did this load last summer,but never shot them in a heat wave before

I have a hard enough tome holding the cross hairs steady.(lol) I reload for the best accurracy with a fine tuned load. I am not happy unless I can put 5 shots under a dime at 100 yards.

I handload some honady 55gr V-max in my savage stevens 223 rem with some h335,with excellent results,,I'm pretty sure my stevens has the same specs as your edge

Was it the wind? When does the wind have effect with .223? I can't beleive it is that at 100 yards with such a light wind... just punched in 3-4 mph wind at a 90 deg. angle on a win ballistics program,with a 55gr fmj factory ammo,just for curiousity sakes,,and it calculates a .09 inch...
