Hornady New Dimension Dies with Taper Crimp

I've had my LNL AP for over a year now and can attest to its versatility. I use it for both 9mm and .45 ACP. My setup is: 1. deprime and size 2. powder drop with the PTX 3. RCBS lockout die 4. tube fed bullet feeder 5. the NEW Hornady seat/taper crimp die This is my optimum set up. The PTX...

    powder choices

I use WSF for 9mm, it works great. Check with Hodgon data, it recommends WSF as the best powder for 9mm from Winchester.

Need advice on trade: Lee presses for Hornady Progressive

The LNL has 5 stations, the 550B has only 4. As far as the no BS warranty of the Dillon, you pay a hefty premium up front when you buy it; not such a good deal. The LNL does not have that premium and you still get no BS service as well as 500 free bullets.

    Automatic Bullet Feeder

A bullet feeder is very handy and speeds up the loading process significantly. Here is a tube fed modification on one using the Hornady bullet feed die that works very well. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_42/349969__28_00_Bullet_feeder_for_Any_Progressive.html Although it is not 100%...

    Hornady Taper Crimp/Seating Die

Friends, I just purchased the NEW Hornady Taper Crimp/Seating die in .45 ACP from Hornady and am curious about its functionality. Has anybody used this die and what are your observations and recommendations? I need to seat and crimp in the same step as I use a RCBS lockout die and bullet...

Crimp die for .45 ACP lead bullets

Friends, currently I load .45 ACP FMJ on a Hornady LNL AP using Lee dies with the FCD. I want to switch to lead RN bullets for matter of economics. The last test run with lead bullets using the FCD wasn't satisfactory so I determined that a different crimp die was in order. I want to keep...

    .45 Colt Powder

Dong's is still open in the original location, in fact it is my fun store of choice as it has everything and more for the reloader and shooter. As mentioned earlier, I would like to use Universal or AA #5 for my .45 colt revolver. I have AA#5 on hand as I have used it for my .45 ACP loads...

    .45 Colt Powder

Friends, I have just purchased a Uberti Cattleman Hombre in .45 Colt. My plans are to load for this round using Missouri Bullets Cowboy loads with a LRNFP 250gn @ .452 diameter with a BHN of 12. It seems like everyone recommends using Unique powder but I have not had good luck with it in the...

    OAL for Tumble Lube bullet

Friends, I just purchased a .32 Cal Tumble Lube Lee mold TL314-90-SWC for my Taurus .327 Magnum pistol. I'm shooting .32 H&R Magnum through it right now as it's a good round for my wife. The mold drops boolits at .316 @ 91-93 gns so it should be a good fit. I have a question pertaining to...

    Guns and Cigars

I enjoy a good cigar after a reloading session or when I'm finished at the range. I use it as a relaxer and to contemplate my latest accomplishments. I know there are a more than a few cigar smokers out there but I am curious as to how many gun owners / reloaders actually enjoy a good cigar...

    CZ 2075 Rami

I just a saw a new CZ 2075 Polymer Rami at the LGS for $498. The looks of it grabbed my attention and it fit my hand perfectly. It comes with one ten round and one fourteen round magazine. It is a sub compact and would be a perfect CCW. This is the first one I have seen. Anyone have one or...

    Primer Cup Hardness

Thanks for all the responses. I use a Hornady LNL to reload these rounds. The primers are seated just below flush although I do not how far below they are. Even with a second strike they still will not fire. Later on I run them through my hammer fired Star and they fire just fine. I'll try some...

Check out youtube, there are videos from Hornady on how to set it up. They are excellent instructional material.
