I just picked up a mosin Nagant from Gander took it home and did a field strip to clean out all of the cosmoline. After I finished cleaning it and reassembled the rifle the trigger dosen't catch at all and dosen't trigger the firing pin. Did I mess something up when I removed the bolt...

I dunno, I heard they where having some problems with short barreled rifle rules with the atf and stuff. But I plan on getting one of these sometime this year. Be nice and fun to bring to the range and comepare with my Ruger 10/22.

Bullets Would I be better off swiching to a round nosed bullet as far as bullet feeding went?

My suggestion as I just started if your unsure of what you just did as in maybe a double charge ect. Dump powder and repeat step. With my first 50 I did it a few times as I was just getting into a rythm and process. My next 50 went better it's better to redo a few steps then blow up a gun 80)
