    Dealing with my brother

Unfortunately I have to deal with my brother for a few more years. We were having a conversation about gun laws, he supports the SAFE act and thinks it will keep crime down. He actually blamed guns for shootings and thinks the whole country should adopt Australia's laws, I tried explaining that...

How Many Guns Are Enough ?

I'll have a total of 5 in the next few months. I have a NEF 20 gauge single shot, Winchester Model 1912 12 gauge, Marlin 81-DL .22 s-l-lr. Picking up either a .30-30 or a .30-06 for a deer rifle and a 16 gauge double barrel. Those will fit my needs and wants for the time being

    Polychoke and barrel length

I tried looking to see if it had been posted before. Might just thread it for tubes

    Polychoke and barrel length

I might thread it for tubes and keep it at 22 inches.

    Polychoke and barrel length

I was not aware of this. Thank you for explaining that

    Polychoke and barrel length

I'm still debating what to do really. I like the simplicity of fixed choke barrels where I can swap to the one that's needed, on the other hand, tubes means less barrels cluttering my cabinet. I'll figure it out

    Polychoke and barrel length

It was just a conversation between some friends and I. I have a single shot 20 gauge I want to shorten the barrel to 20 inches and thread for tubes and one of them suggested the polychoke permanently affixed to it. His logic is that way I won't have to mess with choke tubes.

    Polychoke and barrel length

I looked around online and couldn't find anything on my question. I know the legal minimum is 18" on shotguns, would an original polychoke (not the screw in kind) that is permanently attached to the barrel count towards the overall barrel length?

    12 gauge small game loads

I'll probably pick up a Stoeger for an inexpensive double barrel. That way I can have an IC in one barrel and a modified in the other

    12 gauge small game loads

I got my Winchester in exchange for mowing a neighbors lawn, so that's why I jumped on it.

    12 gauge small game loads

Hevi shot is a little out of my price range for shells. I've though about bismuth, from I've read it's density is that of lead and safe for older guns. It patterns great to 35 yards (175 pellets in a 10" circle) with the lead Remington game loads and I'd love to take a turkey with it this month.

    12 gauge small game loads

It's a fixed full, though I've been told modern steel shot "should" be safe I tend to be safe than sorry. I've thought about threading it for tubes but couldn't bring myself to do it to a classic. It's my first gun and I'd rather keep it original

    12 gauge small game loads

My great uncle used a mossberg 500 for 30 years and I have considered one

    12 gauge small game loads

Hello, I have been looking around the forums for a while and decided to join. I would like to know if I should get a shotgun with adjustable chokes over the summer. I would use it mainly for deer, waterfowl and small game, I have plenty of 12 gauge shells so I'd prefer a 12 gauge pump. I do have...
