A Makarov will serve you well. Is it the "best"? No, but no gun is ever the "best". The Mak uses a less powerful cartridge and is heavy but the advantages of a Mak are a time proven design, reliable, accuracy, inexpensive ammo and just the "coolness" of it.:D

I had a Taurus 455 and the "Stellar clips" were a bit flimsy. Other than that it was an excellent gun. I gave it to my Dad and he refuses to give it back. :D :fire: :D
I saw that they are thinner, do you know how they compare to the "Stellar-Clips" by Taurus. I had a Taurus 455 and it was a superb handgun except the clips were too thin.
Anyone had it done on a Smith J-Frame 38 spec? I'm considering getting a Smith 642 or 638 and the moonclip conversion really intrigues me. Are the moonclips durable? Thanks.
