I have a PA-63 in .380. Of all the pistols I've shot it's the least pleasant. Hideous DA, and the 'beaver tail' grip digs into your hand just above the thumb. Works, but I absolutely hate the darn thing.

QuickLOAD's issues with straight walled cartridges are well documented. With some powders predicted velocities are scary accurate, others are completely off. Predicted pressures? I'd take that with a grain of salt.

You can strip traditional lube off by soaking in white gas (Coleman, camping section) for 20 minutes then stirring.

Or, "remember when primers were $35 a thousand and powders was $30lb" :)

The Mak FCD will work for 'bulge busting' a 9mm case.

Know I'm not getting '40' reloads out of any brass, and I recoup 95% of my brass. And at $100 per K I might end up interested.

If "40 reloads" is proven then, in time, that may change the collective mind. In the immediate these might pique a few Major shooters.

You can use the Makarov FCD with the Bulge Buster for base sizing.

This. Seems a user replaceable battery (Amazon, $25) with a trickle charger would be a better bet. Might even cost less.

The unit self orientates the cartridges, or do they have to be put in the hopper a specific way?

Battery powered? Then sure, I'd take it to the range. I've got UpLULAs, but after 500 or 600 rounds even that gets tedious.

I use the Lee multi-tube w/ the Lee 'fingers' & die. For the two bullet profiles I use the system works brilliantly, I just hate filling the tubes. My bench doesn't have the depth necessary for a bullet feeder, and honestly I don't think I could stand the noise. I've considered using a feeder...

I've loaded it in both 9 & 10mm. It's clean, and fast, somewhere around #2 I'd guess.

Regardless of any chambering / unlock issue, something is seriously amiss here. I have a hard time thinking these are anything but seriously over pressure, and that's coming from a guy who's spent a bit of time pushing the 10mm.

$400 seems like a really good price!
