You've been given some very good advice and I can only add my very limited experience.
I'm currently on my second AR. First was a Bushmaster bought during the '94 ban. It has since been sold for financial reasons. It was a good rifle and bought used. My second and newest rifle is from a...
Thanks everyone. I don't plan to hunt until next year. That's why I'm starting my research now. plus it will give us time to learn and become comfortable with shooting the rifle. It will be myself and my son (10 years old) learning together along with help from more experienced hunter friends...
Howdy all. I'm a newbie hunter. I know .243 is good for white tail, but is it adequate for feral hog as well? Would I be better served with a larger caliber? Any and all advice is appreciated.
Sorry for the omission. The gun is in VG condition. Everything is mechanically sound and shoots well. It is currently wearing some Pachmyer grips, but I do have the original woods. If sold a Tucker holster would be included.
I'm hurt. That hour I spent with my trusty camera didn't produce any "good ones". Heck my worst pic is better than that junk you posted. That one doesn't do that purty gun justice.
BTW, good thread. You've all given him enough good info that kept us busy on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

I am trying to find out if there is a counterpart to the model 19. What I mean is a K-frame in .357, blued and with fixed sights? I am asking for a friend who is likes my 19 2/12 barrel, but isn't a fan af adjustable sights. Also a full under lug like the 19 would be good too.
Need recommendations for this bullet. I normally use the Lasercast bullet but my normal sources (Midway and Cabelas) are back ordered. Dillon seems to have them in stock but they want more than I normally pay at the other places. I'm contemplating buying the Hard Cast lead ones offered at Dillon...
Thanks for all the good discussion. It's helping me learn more and more about revolvers.
I believe that the ammo was the culprit. I shot two different types of ammo and the Monarch. The Monarch was the only one that gave the problem. 158gr LSWC hand loads produced nice clean holes pretty...
