    elk hunting in idaho??

    I am new to black powder hunting... I have a CVA elkhorn pro 1:28 twist barrel can any body help me with some loads and bullets I should use to hunt elk???

    yes you can... as long as you use a #11 cap that is exposed when cocked and ready to shoot...and you have to use a all lead bullet, and powder not pellets...

    new member from idaho I am new to the black powder stuff, mostly I use my long guns to hunt but love to shoot at paper also... I just finished modifying a mosin nagant 91/30 for target shooting... a good fiend of mine challenged me to hunt elk with him this year using a black powder rifle...
