Cabela's has discontinued this product. The actual manufacture still sells them. http://www.armurierlavaltrie.ca/ This one appears to be much preferred over the one Remington makes.
I have two Remington 1100 Magnum shotguns. Each has a 30in Full choke (not screw-in) that are marked 2-3/4 and 3in. One is a plain barrel the other is a VR. These were popular configurations 20 years ago when they were produced. I am considering having them cut to approximately 28in (based...
Out of stock
I called WaltherAmerica, and it appears that these have been on back order for quite some time. In fact the customer support rep. said it could be a while. I know it's a long shot, but would anyone else stock these?
I just bought a Walther P22 a couple days ago. I have ordered a couple extra mags. The only ones that I could find in stock have the small or flat butt plates. Is is possible to replace the flat butt plate with the thick one that has the finger guard? If so, who has the thick butt plates in...
On Order.
I ordered a (TI25) Tactical Innovations 25rd metalic mix today. Other than the factory mags, they appear to be the only ones that always have positive comments, other than $. I guess I'll find out. Thanks for all the feedback.
In the group.
My family has shot a lot of coyotes over the years. Primarily with Rem 700 in .243 with hand loads (75g HP). I would agree that a 6mm and a 22-250 have velocity advantages. I suppose if I were to start over again I may choose the 6mm. It has the same bullet options as a .243...
Got one
I took my kids to the Store today. I had each one of the guns on my short list put into the hands of each child. MKIII, Walther P22, Bersa FS22 (380 actually, but it's roughly the same physical size). The votes were cast and counted. It was unanimous. We brought home a new Walther...
Thanks for the insight on the FS22. I can find the 380 several places in town. It looks really nice, but I want to start with the FS22. Maybe the 380 will be the next step.
Bit of a twist
Sorry to intrude with a non-380 question, but: Do any of you know of a reason to not choose a Bersa / Firestorm .22 over a Walther P22? I want to use this purchase for introducing my kids to handguns. So I'm looking for a smaller gripped .22 autoloader that is functional...
Thanks for all the input. Some where it was mentioned that a longer barrel is a good idea because it will not be as loud. Can someone quantify the difference in sound volume between barrel lengths? I understand why, but how much difference will it make on a .22?
I'm looking for a little insight regarding .22 autoloaders. I want to introduce my kids to handguns in a safe an simple manner. This is to reduce if not remove the fear and social stigma that the public schools and others have been pushing. I have been doing quite a bit of looking, probably...
