    Who dislikes/hates the Beretta 92FS/M9?

I like Beretta firearms in general, but the M9/92 just doesn't fit in my small paws. I wish they did. Now the vintage Beretta M1934 fits perfectly and I have several M1934/35's for range toys.

    Gravity Chambering

Perhaps I am missing something here, but I feel this matter is being way over thought.

    Need help Tokarev-33 owners!

I have a TT-33 and only use it as a range toy. Every brand of ball ammo has worked well for me. My advice is to stick with ammo intended for this firearm, there are much better firearms for defensive use than TT-33 and all the clones.

    snap caps/dummy ammo

A-Zoom makes decent snap caps. They make them in about every caliber and they are sold about everywhere. I have about eight sets of A-Zoom brand in different calibers. One of the problems with using aluminum alloy is that they are softer, than say brass, and can wear down from use. Note the...

What is the last gun that you bought?

I recently purchased a Sauer & Sohn M1913 7.65mm (non-import marked). After I inspected it, function tested and cleaned and lubed it, I took it to the range. It performed well and is a fun range toy. This old German firearm was made from 1913 until about 1931. I am pleased to add it to my...

    Another disappointing die purchase

Op, sorry to hear about your disappoint with your Hornady dies. I trust Hornady will take care of you. Most of my dies are RCBS, but I do have two Hornady dies in 32acp and 380acp, and they have served me well for years. In fact, based on my experience with them I would consider buying other...

    Reasons for keeping "safe queens"?

In my collection i have six Lugers, four are all matching and two are mixmaster shooters. I've never fired three of them and only fired the other one once. I shoot the mixmasters like I hate them. Lugers have so many numbered parts and it only takes one part to break and then the collectible...

    Reasons for keeping "safe queens"?

I have a few vintage FN Hi Powers. My guess is that he was working to remove the notorious mag safety to improve the trigger. It is a simple design , but requires great care to avoid scratching the frame.

A rookie question about decapping live primers

I accidentally deprimed about 15 rounds of live primers once and was really surprised and quite happy none of them popped. I considered it a lesson on being more focused while working at the bench.

Shelf Life on Large Pistol Primers left out on loading bench

    S&W K22 Masterpiece maintenance

Frogfurr, congrats on having a fine, heirloom K-22 and approaching responsible maintenance. I, too, inherited a 5 screw K-22 Masterpiece (a 1955) from my father-in-law a few years ago. The first thing I did was buy Kuhnhausen's book. You will love it! I also got the factory letter for it so when...

Have you ever sold/bought reloaded ammo?

I have never bought nor sold reloaded (or hand loaded) ammo. I don't like rolling the dice.

    New Liberty "Fatboy"safe

The lighting strips were a nice feature that the dealer added. Good point about humidity management. I did not get a Golden Rod, or Liberty's branded version because one is not necessary where the safe is located. The basement room is an HVAC control environment and I have been monitoring my...

    New Liberty "Fatboy"safe

I would have been happy to have purchased a quality, used safe, but i did not know of any out there locally. I spent some time researching gun safes. I hear you about the real world expectations regarding safes. Even so i feel so much better now that I'm not using a cheesy metal cabinet, a...

    New Liberty "Fatboy"safe

The pistol organizer (and insulated document bags at the bottom) was oem for the Liberty Fat Boy model. This functional feature influenced my decision to select this model.
