I settled on the P9. The PM9 was a little too big for me to use as a pocket gun, therefore I figured I might as well go with the gun that I can get all of my fingers on. Jodie Foster recommends the K9.

I have relatively short fingers and the short trigger helps me shoot my P229 in DA mode.

VCDL is encouraging all members to attend. Second Amendment Sisters are going to stage a demo in support of Heller. I probably won't be there at 9:00, but by 11:00 anyway.

Magazine's out of the gun, right? Front of the slide stop is aligned with the notch in the slide? Safety is in the position shown in the manual? Otherwise, I'm stumped. Worst case take the gun to the dealer and have him show you. Preservation of male ego would necessitate allowing BF...

Are you pulling the slide stop all the way to its full unlock (withdrawn) position? I've never had this gun so I can't be a lot of help. Some guns have safety systems that require them to be completely right-side-up in order to take the slide off. Make sure you're not holding it upside down...

Drive to Philly and tell 'em you're an illegal alien. They might make a special effort for you. :rolleyes:

There is a website where a guy posts manuals from lots of guns. stevespages.com. I don't know if he has the Ruger, though.
