You shouldn't need a backup firearm for hog hunting. I do carry my 1911 with me but the only time I use it is if I feel like shooting them with that instead of my rifle. As for .45 not penetrating a hog...tell that to the picture.

Just because sweat contains salt doesn't make saltwater and sweat remotely close to being the same thing. There are tons of other things in your sweat that will wreck metal long before the salt starts to.

I hunt with a license but use one implement throughout all the seasons. I use a bow, which is legal in Florida. My only complaint is that I have to purchase a muzzleloader stamp in order to use my bow during muzzleloader...
