After he retired from FA he moved up to his home in Wellsboro, PA. I talked to him a few times after he moved. He may have opened a small ballistic lab or think tank up there.

I don't know what the issue was with the Blue Dot but I did know Bill Davis. Whenever we had a question or a problem I called him. He always helped and I accepted his information as gospel.

I replaced the S&W grips on my 69 with Hogue grips. The trigger guard was battering my middle finger with the original grips. The Hogue drops my finger below the trigger guard and alleviated the problem.

Yep......hearing that is a good thing.

Maybe you should try one or two more rounds to confirm the consistency of the bullets performance.

Check Brownell's web page. They did a test on rust preventatives. WD40 tested pretty high.

My wife hates the smell of #9. A few years ago I saw a men's cologne that was a Hoppe's #9 fragrance. I was going to get it but then thought better of it.:)

They were discussing the ingredients of Seafoam on a boating site I watch. One of the posters tested it and said it was "good old fashion Ethyl alcohol". BTW it does help the performance of my outboards and ATVs.
