    they used to use a cast receiver on their "plinker" model, but now they use a forged one...shouldn't have any major problems

    Well, the first thing i'd check is how tight the scope is mounted...even if its just a little bit loose, your groups will be way off.

    go with the mosin...the Remington ones are kinda hard to find, and you might never see another one in such good shape. 7.62x54R is very cheap and widely available, especially surplus.

    Bolt Action Accuracy

    Well, $500 isnt much to spend if its on a rifle AND scope, if its just for the rifle, there's quite a few options...the Winchester 70, Savage 110, and Remington 700 are all very accurate. The Savage is cheaper, but the stocks on those aren't that nice.

    well, just from looking at the map, it looks like Sweden would be quite hard to invade (lots of mountains on borders next to Finland and Norway, and lots of water) and it probably wasn't of strategic importance.

    Bolt action .22

    The Remington 504 looks like a very nice rifle, but it doesn't have any iron sights. CZ rifles are also excellent, and have great iron sights. The Ruger 77 is also a good rifle, but its trigger isn't great.

    Im heading off to the University of Wisconsin in Madison...not superclose, but maybe sometime :)...also, if a firearm is in a locked trunk, does that count as "encased?"

    Well, Im going to Wisconsin for College, and I am wondering if, as a resident of Massachusetts, whether it is legal for me to purchase ammunition and/or rent firearms in the state of Wisconsin even though I do not have a Massachusetts FOID card. Can I legally do this?

    Cheap tack/nail driver?

    the K-31 is an excellent rifle, but finding ammo can be a pain. You would be best off ordering it in large quantities.
