I always carry a spare mag and white light. Can't think of the last time I didn't. My trainers taught me that the extra mag isn't so much for the extra rounds as it is for dealing with malfunctions. Many (most) malfunctions are ammo/mag related.

Re: the kydex tickable clips for the VM-II . . . I'd recommend finding someone who has them and trying them out before you spend the extra $$$ for them. The concept sounds good, but doesn't work in practice very well (..for me, at least). The gun prints way too much with a tucked-in shirt...
