I too find it very comfortable. The placement of it allows red dot scopes to be mounted lower than a typical AR, it comes with an extended pad for longer LOP, and it just tucks very nicely.

Sig 522 is not ammo finicky as far my experience goes. I've had 2, both with roughly 1500 rounds each, and neither has ever experienced any kind of failure at all, ammo related or rifle related. I actually expected a few based solely on the caliber but no, none what so ever. It's an absolute joy...
