I just opened a can of Varget for the first time and the powder from the BHM 175 does appear to be Varget. The pic I posted seems to be a bit dark on here. The powder does have a silver/gold tint.
I pulled a Black Hills Match 175gr apart to see the powder and weigh it. It was 42.0 grains of stick powder. I'm attaching a photo that shows it on the left and Reloader-15 on the right. Anyone have ideas on what it may be other than the standard "non-canister" powder?

The devil is in the details as they say. Its probably all relative to what you're trying to acomplish. I like trying to squeeze every bit of accuracy I can outta my rifle/loads just for kicks.
