    Scheels Sporting Goods

We are getting a Scheels in Tulsa. I’m excited and will probably shop there a few times a year. I’ve been to the one in N Texas (The Colony, I think) and was impressed by their selection. They had a Henry Big Boy X Model in .357 for $900. They were and still are hard to find. I *SHOULD*...

    Not Quite a Convert But...

Shoot, my wife gets scared during the daylight if she comes around a corner into a room that she didn’t expect me to be. I’m like, “honey, you live with a big, bearded, bald guy”. You know, one that you see multiple times a day. There’s weapons that are carried at home and/or stored close at...

"Oh my Gawd....do you have a gun in every room?"

Always have at least TWO guns in every room. That way, if someone asks if you have A gun in the room you can truthfully answer, “No”. Or, also, the 2 is 1, 1 is none principle.

    I'm tapped out. But here's what I'd buy if I wasn't.

There is older school, but that is still old school.

    so called cowboy "assault rifles"

I’m looking forward to getting a modernized lever gun with mlok slots and an optic rail and threaded for a suppressor. Probably in .357 and/or .44. Probably something like the Henry X model or one of the newer ones coming out like S&W or Marlin. We shall see, gotta get a couple other...

    Double double stack magazines anyone?

I don’t think those have the best reputation for reliability though. Anyone know if the AK ones work well?

I Saved Some of my Rabbits

Beautiful guy. I like foxes and all predators must be managed, but he’d probably get a pass around our place.

    Too many Guns?

I’ll have too many guns that when I die and they auction them off and the auction negatively affects the prices because I have so many on the market at one time. Well, I won’t have them, but someone will reap the rewards.

    Revolvers at Scheels today

A 7 or 8 shot .357 with moon clips ain’t nothing to sneeze at if one wants to carry a revolver in this modern world.

    I might’ve had a Kaboom today…

Look, you got a 9x20 round for the price of a 9x19. Why are you complaining? 😜

    Real life decision making

I think you may have problems understanding what I was trying to convey. Escape/evade, but be ready to shoot & scoot if deadly force is warranted. Not everyone keeps long guns in lockers when the vehicle is occupied. Also, if you’re stopped, shooting from a vehicle isn’t hard. It’s a bit...

    Shotgun ammo for home defense

Federal 12ga 2.75” Flight Control 00 buck. Bird shot is for birds.

    Real life decision making

Hand on pistol, (probably drawn and at the ready) and drive on if possible. If I can get to a shotgun/rifle in the vehicle without stopping, then get that ready too. But escape is of first and foremost importance. We win 100% of the gunfights we avoid. However, sometimes it’s go time...
