From what I can gather, your slide is a weird silver color. my first guess would be that NK stands for Nickel and the slide has a Nickel plating on it. That's purely speculation though. Anybody know any places I could send my Sig 229 for some trigger work? I want to smooth out the DA mainly and lighten it up just a tad. I've heard some mixed reviews about the gunsmith at my store close to me. ANybody got any suggestions of a good smith for Sigs?

i dont see a problem. a screw is a screw and the military does use them to make them more field serviceable. you cant deny that philips and flathead screwdrivers are much more common. they're on almost every multitool and many soldiers carry them.

Kahr P380, Ruger LCP, Kel Tec P3AT, and Colt Mustang are all good choices. The Sig P238 has had its issues but I think they've all been worked out.
