    revolveritus?

I, too, have revolveritis. Be warned, exposure to single action revolvers might severely aggravate your condition.

    EAA vs. Heritage

I have a Heritage Rough Rider 22 convertible and I'm quite happy with it. It is serviceable and I've had no problems at all. I recommend it to the OP.

I seem to be spending more and more time on the Revolver board...

I hit the Revolver section almost exclusively, though I use only pistols in my profession. Hey bikemutt, try a Nagant for learning trigger pull. If you can learn to pull smoothly on on one of those, you'll be a master.

    A. Uberti Cattleman "Gunfighter"

Nice buy! I have a few Cattlemen of my own, great guns, especially for the money. I've purchased about 5 guns from Gunbroker.com; there are some great deals on some great guns there, along with some extremely inflated prices. If you like the deal on the Gunfighter, check out the deal on...

    Uberti Cattleman Hombre- Opinions Please?

I got one from Tanners at Gunbroker.com, too. Couldn't resist the price. They're good guys to do business with.

Do any service people still carry revolvers?

I mentioned the "relics" who are "grandfathered in" with express relation to places like Chicago PD. In departments such as CPD, pistols have been mandatory for new officers for many years, but the officers who were carrying revolvers at the time of the conversion were allowed to continue to...

Do any service people still carry revolvers?

WIth very few exceptions here and there, law enforcement has moved to pistols exclusively for duty use. You'll still see a few old timers in places like Chicago PD who still carry revolvers, but they're the relics who are grandfathered in and have been carrying them since starting decades ago...

    Uberti Cattleman Hombre- Opinions Please?

I have five of 'em. Three in .357 and two in .45 Colt. The quality is very good. The only difference between the Hombre and the others in the Uberti line is finish, with the one exception being the El Patron, which is premium tuned at the factory and given special springs. They all benefit from...

Old Taurus or New Taurus 85??

I just picked up a Tarurs 85 from gunbroker.com. Upon inspection, it is a very good gun. I shot only 50 rounds so far, but is is a good specimen and works well so far. Very nice blueing and good trigger and action. There's a seller starting new ones on no reserve auction at $200.00 with free...

Check out the forum over at www.singleactions.com. Those guys over there know a lot about the Abilene, and they speak very highly of it.

Looking for a .22LR/WMR combo, anyone recommend Heritage Rough Riders?

Slash 415 -- I'll recommend the Heritage Rough Rider, based on my ownership of one and what you said. Budsgunshop.com has 'em real cheap; you'll have it delivered, pay for the FFL fee, and have $100 left over. I've had no problems with mine at all.

    Armscor 206 colt grips

I have one and I am happy with it, too. It has proven reliable. I haven't scrutinized its accuracy, though. It has a nice trigger pull and smooth function. I must say, the action was a bit rough right out of the box, but a few dozen trigger pulls with snap caps and a nice application of oil...
