I just swapped my 930 SPX's Choate pg stock for a standard style. BIG improvement. Comfort, control, and even aesthetically. Also, the obvious benefit of safety actuation being quicker for when on the trail.
I am a huuuuge fan of the PPS, but I am an HK guy so the mag release isn't an issue for me.
If you prefer a push-button mag release then get a Glock 26.
Mine has over 500 uncleaned rounds through it. Ranging from lowbrass wal-mart stuff, to 3 inch slugs. It eats everything flawlessly. I trust it completely. So much so that it is my primary HD weapon.
Just be sure you don't get one of the early ones with the canted sights and tiny bolt handle.
Hey all,
I am the very satisfied owner of a Mossberg 930 SPX and I am at the crossroads of deciding what route I want to take with "modding" the weapon.
Should I keep the PG stock I have currently and get a "tacticool" shell carrier and sh*t?
Or should I order some wood furniture and keep...
Imbel is way higher quality than Taurus.
That being said, I don't think I'd want neither.
Go for the Ruger. You won't hear me say that often, but their SR1911 is a fine weapon.
Even though S&W may be last to capitalize on the CCW 9mm boom, I think this is absolutely awesome! Competition is great for us as the consumers. And even though my primary CC is a PPS, I am still very excited to see this pistol.
I decided to take some pics comparing my new PPS, P30L and the Glock 19.
First up is a pic of the HK and Walther next to my buddies FNP-45. The FN kicks like a kitten. A very tame .45, a real joy to shoot.
Here's a family shot of all my favorite little krauts...
