I have attempted to pry the retainer loose using moderate pressure without success. Is this retainer forced off? See attached photo with screwdriver pointing to retainer.

Forearm has been removed. Is there a site that might post a manual for a 311 since the maker fears a lawsuit if they do so?

I removed a small screw located on the front of the receiver but to no avail; the barrel will not budge. I'm sure that it has been many years since the barrel was removed but the action of the pivot is very smooth. What could be preventing it from separating?
