Are you sure you’re not confusing Interbonds with Interlocks?
My experience with Interbonds has been that they are every bit as tough as Accubonds if not a bit tougher. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second taking an off angle shot with an Interbond.
The problem with that is in the field you don’t get to choose the distance your shot presents itself at. I hear this argument all the time and IMO it’s completely invalid. On elk use a bullet that will give adequate controlled expansion at all ranges from up close to your self imposed range...
I can say this without hesitation. I hunted bears with hounds in the Rockies of Northern New Mexico an average days was 10+ miles with multiple thousands of feet of elevation change in steep country.
