    "Best" SAA mfg?

Sounds to me like the OP needs to be scouring the Internets for a USFA!

NEW M&P Pistols - Improved Triggers?

The recent production M&P, at least the 9/40/357, have much improved triggers. Most noticeable is the stronger reset. That was the thing I disliked about my M&Ps most compared to my Glocks, the vague, indeterminate reset. The newer guns are much improved in this area. I believe the 45s still...

    Penn Bullets

Mine took a very long time to get anything, and that was in slow times. That's all I'll say about it. Good bullets, but I wouldn't order if you aren't prepared to wait a while (months).

    berry 124gn and w231

I'll betcha that Gen 4 has the .40 recoil spring in it. Get a lighter spring. 124 grain bullet over 4 grains of HP38 will cycle my Glock 35 with a conversion barrel just fine.

Grip material for heavy recoiling SA?

A wood grip with open grain and not much finish on it would probably be the best, without actually getting into something more grippy like checkering or rubber. All the checkering is going to do is abrade your hand, same with rubber. For extended shooting at the range, I'd recommend getting a...

    .475 draws blood

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to be critical, just pointing out an issue I see sometimes with shooters who are new to heavy recoiling revolvers. You see this a lot with guys who are used to shooting semi-autos, especially the ones who compete in IDPA/IPSC. The square to the target, arms fully...

    .475 draws blood

Elbows locked, isosceles stance, NEVER a good combination with a heavy recoiling sixgun....

    Soy wax

I don't think the toilet bowl ring stuff works anymore. None of it I've found is still made from beeswax; it's all synthetic, petroleum based.

Surprised you didn't stick a bullet in the barrel with 15.7 grains of H110....

    bisley .41 mag

When I picked up my Smith 57 at the FFL yesterday, I thought I'd buy a box of factory ammo, just to compare to the handloads. It was Remington, 210 grain, 50 rounds, for $79.99. I almost fainted as well....

    bisley .41 mag

I'll give you $300 for it, cash money :D Just getting into the 41 mag myself. I feel like this may be the beginning of a long friendship...

Wow. What loads have you been shooting in this gun, out of curiosity?

    Sticky cylinder release latch

Another problem I've found that can cause a sticky cylinder latch is a peened/mushroomed extractor rod center pin. This is the spring loaded pin that the cylinder latch depresses in the center of the extractor star when you push it forward. That pin can get peened on the ends and make it stick...
