the stock g20 is fine and very accurate. i replaced the stock 17lbs spring with a 21lbs and a stainless guiderod. best thing i ever did. still cycles 100percent with all ammo but a lot softer shooting and the brass stays a lot closer. if u get a g20 or 29, u wont be dissappointed.

another choice is glock's 20/29 10mm .40 SW .357 sig 9x25 dillon all with just a barrel swap.

love my 317's. so lite and accuracy is good. no lock versions are about 450-500 on gunbroker. 3'' version would be better if she's going with a .22 i like the looks of those nef's...mite have to pick one up.
