Carry at home, h*ll yeah
About 15 yrs. ago I testified against a criminal I had arrested,a carrer criminal at that.He got 15 yrs. and I just found out that he is out and lives about 20 miles from me.The fed. prosecutor was kind enough to let me know in advance, but i have family now and have...
Henry
I've got 2,a lr and a mag.Slickest out of the box action I've ever felt.Great shooters, and the best C/S I've seen. They also sent me a new metal front sight and barrel band. It's a huge improvement of the original sight and it was free.
I've been reading of some problems on piston operated systems of "carrier tilt".
It seems that a piston driven rifle may indeed be cleaner and cooler, but it's hard to argue the point that properly maintained the direct impengment[spelling] is a fine weapon that has worked many years under...
home defense
when it comes to the nut-cuttin in my home my wife will run past all other guns to get to the 12 guage shotty.if it works for her it works for me.

Skinners sights are my favorite as well
They are tough and I like the poitive adj. both windage and elevation. Also dont have to remove rear factory sigh.Just fold it down, that way if you were to break it [i dont know you could short of a dropped rifle] you would have your factory sights ready...
newer marlins
Inthe past year Marlin has returned to the deep cut ballard type of rifling for this very reason. If you ask the tech's at Marlin they went back to the deep instead of microgroove to stabilize the heavier bullets such as BB and others are producing.I got this info straight from the...
Primer making
I cant find the link now but at one time I saw a tool for making primers by punching out the bottom of coke cans.It formed them when cutting and then you could use several of those roll caps from a toy cap pistol, for the ignition system
No brass for you
My G-3 has never been able to shoot brass.I changed the rollers and locking piece, but it still ripped brass into.I am now reserved to steel case only, but have never had a problem since switching.good luck with your new toy
ultramax ammo
damn, with all the negative talk,I must be crazy. When ammo was so hard to find I bought15 boxes of 50 rnds each of .38 swc.has been the most reliable ammo i have purchased in a long while.very consistant and accurate to boot.I wish i could find more.My model 10 and my 686 shoot it...
