As title says.
Montana Gold 125grn Sig JHP bullets. $123/1000
What are your results? Good choice or not? If not, what is your choice for bullets in the 125 to 135 grain arena?
Also, is 147gr too heavy for 357 Sig?
Thanks
If I got the shell plate any closer to eye level than it is now, my bullet and case feeder hoppers would be out of reach and I stand 6' 2" tall. My bench height is 42" and the press is pretty tall as it is now, so you need to figure that the max height of the bench plus the mount should not...
I have the Lee Modern Reloading and the Hornady 8th. But I usually go to the powder and/or bullet manufacturers web sites for the most current information. I plan to pick up the Lymans 49 as it seems to be well sanctioned and highly spoken of book on most of the reloading sites that I visit...
Look around on the net more. There is a place to obtain SS media for 1/2 the price of what stainlesstumblingmedia sells it for. I can't find the link right now, but will continue to look for it.
There are two schools of thought on this:
Some people are adamantly opposed to tumbling loaded ammunition. Others say they have never encounted a problem in years and years of doing it.
There is a myriad of reasons "to" or "not to" do it.
Personal preference mostly......I doubt that...
I use a colander with a old cotton T-shirt in it. It catches all the SS pins and lets the cleaning solution through. I then spray the SS media with some clean water and return the SS pins to the tumbler.
You could also get a geologist sieve. They are expensive but would work for a very...
Check you PTX die and make sure that it is the .400 "A" die. The A dies have been re-worked to give a better bell.
Seems like Starline is aware of this problem and I can see how a burr would cause a rough operation and the cases to stick to the PTX die. Polish your PTX die as indicated...
Load it in a handgun and it is AP. It is of brass construction.
$3+ per pop makes for some expensive shooting.:what:
Sure would like to play with it though:D
Like the previous poster, I dump the contaminated water into a 5 gallon bucket and let 99% of the water evaporate. What is left is a small amount of waste that may be contaminated with lead. I usually transfer this waste to a smaller container being very careful while handling it. The waste...
White boxes from Midway as well for pistol cartridges. Made my own boxes out of the USPS bulk rate boxes (free) for storing my .223 ammo. 250 rounds per box in 25 stripper clips. A little cut here, trim there and voila! They work very well and are not as heavy as ammo cans full of ammo.
