    AirPort question

It has to be a hard case that is locked by you, with a lock on every loop available on the case. You have to declare it at the counter and prove that it is unloaded. Yes it sounds ridiculous because it's a lower, but the lower is considered a firearm, even if there isn't a LPK installed.

Does tumbling with 20/40 grit clean primer pocket? Brass prep method ok?

Wasn't relying on it to clean the primer pocket, I was just asking out of curiosity since it's finer and won't get caught. Thanks for the info guys. How important is it to clean the primer pocket? I have the tool, but in the sheer number of cases I'm reloading (read in 600-800 per week) it...

Does tumbling with 20/40 grit clean primer pocket? Brass prep method ok?

First of all, my brass prep method is as follows: 1. Deprime (universal decapper) 1a. If brass is really dirty/sooty, rinse with soap/water to not kill my media 1b. Tumble 2 Inspect 3 lube brass 4 resize/prime 5 tumble again to remove lube/polish mirror shine Is this process ok? Will the corn...

    doubling up, ear plugs+muffs

Anyone have any experience with these? If it says they can be reused again and again why buy more than one pair? 6 pairs for a "personal" kit seems like too many if they can be reused.

    doubling up, ear plugs+muffs

I'd gladly purchase a silencer with my firearm if it weren't prohibited by NY state. :cuss:

Set up my first Lee Turret press yesterday!

I love mine, but I find sometimes that I can stroke the press up and down all day and it just won't index. I still haven't figured out why though.

    Tracers?

That looks awesome! But, I've seen muskets that were more accurate.... Are the tracers causing the severe inaccuracy?

Lee bullet seating die isn't giving consistant OAL

Well I just bought a Hornady comparator so once that arrives I'll measure some to see if the oal from the ogive is varying versus the total OAL from the base of the case to the tip. I'll also load a few with one pull instead of adjusting with each pull to see if that helps (after I trim some...

Lee bullet seating die isn't giving consistant OAL

I'm using a turret, basically a single stage in this case. But I'll try your methods in the morning and see if that corrects my issue. I also think it's partialy due to the difference in length of brass. This could affect it right?

Lee bullet seating die isn't giving consistant OAL

I was under the impression that OAL was important in determining accuracy and consistency between shots. Also I was stroking, measuring, adjusting, etc. so I guess I'll try the all in one stroke and see if that changes. (sounds like I'll be giving my bullet puller a workout) Also it's being...

Lee bullet seating die isn't giving consistant OAL

I was loading .223 remington with mixed headstamps. Primarily Rem and P-R I found out that the difference in OAL was because of the variances in case length. Measuring the OAL and comparing it to the case length returned equal distances. So it looks like it came down to a trimming problem...

Lee bullet seating die isn't giving consistant OAL

I have my Lee bullet seating die and it isn't giving consistant OAL. My brass is from 1.477-1.451 also because the Lyman trimmer isn't consitant at all either. (truly a POS, can't wait till I get my giraud) The bullet seating is varying from 2.234-2.253. Is this variance because of the...
