I've been carrying a Shield 9 (no thumb safety) since they were available. I see no reason to replace it with the 2.0. I did buy a 45, and the trigger is a little better than the 9.

As stated above, it's all personal preference. all my carry guns are M&Ps (except the 642). I believe Glocks to be every bit as reliable.

My current go to (80% of the time) is a Shield in 45. All my carry guns are S&W. Shield 45, Shield 9, M&P9C, M&P 380, or a 642.

I've moved up from a Shield 9 to a Shield 45. I do have an M&P 380 I carry for those times when deep concealment is a must. Lately, I've been altering my wardrobe to be able to carry the 45 IWB.

I'm sure it'll be a fine carry gun, but so is my Shield.

I have owned four 85's. They are every bit as good as my 642. I had two 85CH (concealed hammer) models. Gave one to my daughter for her birthday. I have Wolff springs in all my revolvers. I can't really tell any difference in the triggers at all.

I have both a Shield and 9C. They've been 100% reliable for over 1000 rounds each and they shoot where I point 'em. That's good enough for me.

I have and carry both (Shield9, XDS45). In a pocket holster, I prefer the Shield. IWB, they are about a toss up.

It was a good week. Picked up the following: XDS-45, DPMS Oracle, AND a Ruger LCR-22. Total spent, $1375!

With the Shield it's 7+1 in the gun, & 2) 8 round spares. With the 9C it's 12+1, and 1) 17 round spare. With any of the revolvers, I carry 2 extra speed loaders.

My M&P9C works just fine.

I have a current production Ross 462 (3 years old). The gun is 100% reliable and very accurate. Congatulations on your purchase.

While I do frequently carry a revolver, sometimes I feel it may not be enough. Lately around these parts, it seems the bad guys HAVE been working together. Usually, I at least have an 8-shot 9mm.

For me, a "pocket gun" has always been a light weight snubbie. When I have to pocket carry, it's a Taurus 85CH. Usually though, I just wear my Shield IWB. Either way, I don't feel under gunned.

I voted 9mm because that's what I carry most often (Ranger T 127 +P+). I also frequently carry 38 +P 125 SJHP's.
