I don't see why this was so hard. As long as he was legally allowed to own it in Illinois, drop it off at an FFL in Indiana to ship to an FFL in Illinois. They shouldn't care whether you sold it to him or gave it to him, it's just their job to do an interstate transfer.

How is this part of the problem? Isn't the first thing you do when taking down your gun to drop the mag and lock the slide back? And if not, why not?

For picture resizing I use irfanview (a free program), for web pics I hit the decrease size by half button twice and save. Easy peasy.
