I'm not sure it's fair (or possible) to pick just one favorite S&W 357 revolver. It's probably just a coincidence I have one of each of these. My favorite small frame would be a 66 in 3" or 4". My favorite medium frame would be a 586 in 4". My favorite large frame would be a PC627 5".

I believe that's in the range of Nov, Dec 1988 thru Jan 1989.

I already have a 12 shot .22 in a Colt New Frontier. Of course 6 of them are Mags. ;)

I have several 22's with the mag disconnect. So far, it hasn't been a problem. I do watch the paper and plates carefully during reloading though....just to be safe. In the event one of them decide to charge, I always have my primary carry weapon at the ready.

It's ok to dry fire the P9, but I would still use snap caps. For range dry fire, why not randomly put a few snap caps in the mags with your live ammo (as long as it's ok with the range). This will really test your trigger squeeze, and get you some malfunction tap/rack practice to boot.

I've got a stash of Winchester 9mm Subsonic, 147gr Jacket HP, Controlled Expansion, Law Enforcement Use Only ammo. Doesn't look like I'll get a can anytime soon, so I thought I might sell the subsonic. Can anyone give me good advice on what it might be worth? Thanks.

Well, it's a Kahr, which I much prefer over the Keltec or Ruger. Other things that jump out at me: It has real sights, it has a slide stop, it has a browning type recoil lug and locked breech, and a Lothar Walther match grade polygonal barrel. I love my P3AT for its size/weight/caliber, but...

WTH! I still can't get on. Tried linking from My Favorites (like I always do), did a google search and tried linking from there, tried typing in the address, tried linking from TFL, etc. Nothing works for me. I thought maybe the sight was down.

Doesn't the CW9 take the same hoster as the P9? If so, lots of choices.

Tecumseh: Yes, S&W still imports the P99 AS guns from Walther. S&W has discontinued the AS trigger on their SW99. As mentioned already, Walther made the frame for both. I believe the Walther made slide is carbon/tennifer while the Smith made slide is Stainless/melonite. The Walther 9mm...
