Thanks guys will do. My current setup drops 5g of HS6 consistently even without a screw put in the metering "handle". This is great for 9mm but is terrible now that I want to start .380
I received a Redding powder measure from a member here a while ago, and need to pick up a new metering chamber for it. I am not sure which model I have. Are there any major identifying marks to look for?
I have shot 9 and 40 but not the 45 yet. The shield is just a recoil tamer, I have yet to hear of anyone complain about the recoil of 45 from one. It will most likely be my next purchase. Either way you go you really can not lose.
Huge +1. Almost finished with my first pound of HS-6. I have had and I am sure will continue to have a lot of questions, which have been graciously answered. Now If I can talk my LGS into ordering more powder.
I received a Redding powder measure from a fellow member a while back, and I am not 100% sure on the model number. The screw is not the correct one for it and it will only throw ~5gr of HS 6 even with the screw out of it. Is it something wrong with the chamber where I can just clean it out or...
My wife finally figured out what she likes in a pistol, both for range use and carry. (typical woman she wants 2 separate non-compatible things.) For concealment she wants an uber small pocket rocket. She really dug the TCP they had at the shop. So a TCP or LCP will most likely follow me home...
It may be, It functions great however although I did have 1 light primer strike that I attribute to not fully seating the primer. Fired when I fed it back into the gun. Recoil was about on par with WWB and I only noticed "smoke" on 1-2 out of the 80 I fired yesterday.
Ohihunter, I load mine a hair long at around 1.16-1.17 IF the shape of the bullet allows. I had some with a very pronounced rim the I had to load super short 1.05 in order to plunk or even feed in my Sig. So just remember if you change bullet shape/design to re-plunk.
I like it .. in theory. This makes my short list of potential next purchases. This or a BERSA right now only because 2 G42's is a bit cost prohibitive are my 2 at the top until I have a chance to shoot them side by side
My wife works in an NPE but travels places where even the angels carry...
6.8 mm 85 gr tsx @ 3000 fps loaded by SSA completely blew the far shoulder out of a suitcase doe at 30 yards. (So same diameter close to the same velocity with almost double the bullet weight) Little chunks of flesh decorated the bush behind where the deer had been standing. I could literally...
